Trinidad and Tobago Folklore

In Trinidad and Tobago, there are many different superstitions and stories.  Some of them are scary and some of them have something to be learned from.  For example, one of the stories is the one about Douens.  Douens are the souls of children that died before they were baptized.  It is said that they roam the earth and approach children and bring them into the forest when it's dark at night and leave them there.  Another story is about the Soucouyant, also known as the Old Hag.  The Soucouyant is a supernatural person {usually a woman} who has made a pact with the devil to be able to change herself into a different form of anything.  If you wan to know more about these stories and superstitions then this website will help you learn more.
